Data controller

The controller for the cookies and personal data described here is KETL AS (company registration number 933 555 444), Drammensveien 123, 0277 Oslo, Norge. This cookie declaration is governed by Norwegian law, with Oslo tingrett as the legal venue. See the privacy policy for the full description of how personal data is processed.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They are used to remember preferences, keep you signed in and give us insight into how the service is used.

We use essential and functional cookies, and — only with your consent — analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4 via Firebase, the _ga cookies in the table below). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies for profiling from Meta, Hotjar or similar. Some third parties (Sentry error tracking, PostHog product analytics) are conditional — they are set only if that integration is configured, and are listed as third parties below.

Keeps you signed in after authentication. Required for the service to work.

Stripe

Required for card verification (Stripe Checkout in setup mode, NOK 0 — the card is never charged) and for Stripe's fraud prevention. KETL has no self-service payment flow; Stripe is used only to confirm that you are a real user.

Web analytics: distinguishes users and sessions with a pseudonymised client ID. Set only after you have consented to analytics — GA4 (gtag.js) is not loaded without consent.

Sentry (feilsporing) — betinget

Links error reports to a user session for debugging. Set only if the Sentry integration is enabled (SENTRY_DSN); in the default configuration error reporting goes to our own structured log and this cookie is not set.

PostHog (cloud EU) — betinget

Product analytics, funnel tracking and feature flags. Stores an anonymised user ID (distinct_id) to recognise sessions. Set only if the PostHog integration is enabled and you have consented to analytics; the default configuration uses GA4 (Firebase Analytics), not PostHog.

Manage consent

Essential cookies cannot be disabled, as they are required for the service to work (sign-in, card verification, security).

You can disable functional and analytics cookies through the consent banner shown on your first visit, or at any time using the button below.

You can also delete all cookies in your browser settings. Note that this will sign you out of KETL Data.

Third parties

We use the following third-party providers that may set cookies:

Google Analytics 4 (Firebase Analytics) — web analytics (only with consent; sets the _ga cookies listed above). policies.google.com/technologies/cookies
Google / Firebase — authentication and hosting. policies.google.com/privacy
Stripe — card verification (NOK 0 SetupIntent; the card is never charged) and fraud prevention. Card data is stored with Stripe, never with KETL. stripe.com/privacy
Sentry — error tracking and performance monitoring (conditional: active only when the integration is configured). sentry.io/privacy/
PostHog (cloud EU) — product analytics and funnel/feature-flag tracking (data stored in the EU, eu.posthog.com). Conditional: the default configuration uses GA4, not PostHog. posthog.com/privacy
